Most products in adjacent industries - insurance comparison sites, broker portals, finance apps - survive by hiding their incentives. We don't. Here's where every dirham of Covered revenue comes from.
Consumer Pro - AED 49 one-off
LiveIf you've used your four free questions in a month and want more, you can pay AED 49 once to unlock unlimited Q&A on that specific policy. It works for the natural life of that policy - usually one year, until you renew with a different insurer or plan.
This is funnel revenue, not core revenue. It covers our infrastructure costs (about AED 1 per user per year) and lets us keep the free tier genuinely useful instead of crippled.
Employer SaaS - AED 150 per employee / year
Live · primary revenueUAE companies pay us to give every employee Pro access on the company insurance plan. HR fields fewer of the same questions every renewal. The team gets straight answers with citations. We get predictable, recurring revenue.
This is what funds Covered. The consumer product exists in large part because companies can't buy something for their staff that isn't already trusted by individuals.
Sponsored placements on explainer pages
Coming soon (Phase 2)Our explainer articles (the ones at /explainers) will eventually accept sponsored placements from brokers, insurers, or other relevant UAE financial-services brands. Maximum 1–2 placements per page, always labelled Sponsored, never mixed into the article body.
What you will never see:
- Sponsored content that affects how your policy is analysed
- Recommendations dressed up to look like neutral advice
- Sponsored content inside the product (the Coverage Summary, the Q&A view)
What we do NOT make money from
And won't- Selling your data.Your policy and your questions stay encrypted and tied to your account. We don't sell them. We don't share them with brokers, insurers, or anyone else.
- Training AI on your documents.Anthropic (the AI provider) has zero data retention on our enterprise plan. Your policies aren't used to train models - theirs or anyone else's.
- Affiliate commissions on insurance you don't need.Our renewal wedge captures emails for future broker matching, but we'll never recommend a switch unless the data on your policy supports it.
- Monthly subscriptions. Insurance is annual. Charging monthly punishes the actual usage pattern. Not happening.
